Tartan's HRMS Sync Product Update - January 2025
We’re excited to introduce two powerful new features to Tartan HRMS Sync this January. These enhancements are designed to give admins more control over data sharing and ensure that salary details integrate seamlessly, keeping your operations secure and efficient.
New Feature: Partial Employee Data Selection
Our new Partial Employee Data Selection feature empowers HR admins to share only the relevant subsets of employee data rather than the entire database. Instead of sharing all employee data with a particular vendor for specific services, HR admins can now provide data only for the employees for whom the service is applicable. This selective approach not only enhances data security but also ensures that vendors receive just the pertinent information, helping organizations protect sensitive information while streamlining their data-sharing process.

What It Does & Why It’s Needed:
Selective Sharing: HR admins can now filter employee records by various identifiers, such as Employee Name, Employee ID, Phone Number, and Work Email. The system highlights matching segments to make selection quick and intuitive.
Enhanced Efficiency: This feature enables HR admins to select only the required employee data, which is especially beneficial for industries where data privacy and precision are paramount, such as financial services, healthcare, and IT.
How It Works:
Select HRMS as the data transfer method and choose your HRMS tool.
Enter your API credentials and opt for syncing limited employees.
Choose specific data points and apply filters to narrow down the employee selection.
Experience an uninterrupted workflow with smart state management functionality that preserves your progress throughout the synchronization process throughout the journey, even if you leave the journey in between for a stipulated time.
New Feature: Salary Data Mapping
Salary Data Mapping feature enables HR admins to share complete payroll data of employees by breaking down the salary into distinct components. This includes showing all salary components, such as base pay, bonuses, deductions, and other relevant salary fields. This feature is valuable for vendors who require specific salary data to provide their services. By offering a comprehensive view of payroll information, HR admins can ensure that vendors receive the accurate and necessary data they need for efficient service delivery.

What It Does & Why It’s Needed:
Customizable Mapping: This feature recognizes that salary fields and allows the HR admin to map one or more of your employee’s salary fields to a single field (for example, combining “Base Pay” and “Gross Salary” into “Total Compensation”).
Streamlined Process: The mapping screen displays the employee’s incoming salary data points alongside dropdowns for our standardized fields. Once all fields are mapped, simply submit the configuration to complete the integration.
Industry Benefits: This feature is ideal for industries that require a bifurcated view of employee payroll data, such as employee benefits and wealth management platforms.
